Inspiration found in Washington

Recently I had the pleasure of traveling to Washington.  I got to go to three very different places that gave me a world of inspiration!!  The first stop was Seattle.  Walking through Pikes Market, I got to see a wide array of colors and smells from the florist & vegetable vendors.  It makes me wish that we had a daily market here in Charleston.  We bought some local plums and cherries for our camping trip to the gorge.

Our next stop was Guemes Island, which is on the northern coast of Washington.  We went to visit one of the artist that I represent at Martin Gallery, Leo E. Osborne.  Him and his wife Jane have a gorgeous home filled with paintings and sculpture, and their yard is filled with my favorite… lavender!!  Our next stop was the Gorge where we got to see Phish play two night in a row. It truly was an amazing trip!!!
